Code of Ethics

Our Commitment to Doing What’s Right

At Prudential, trust and integrity are critical to the success of our business. Our purpose, “For Every Life, For Every Future,” reflects our commitment to creating a more sustainable, responsible and inclusive future for generations to come.

Operating our business in the most responsible and sustainable way means holding ourselves to the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.

We expect all employees and financial representatives to treat one another with respect and care, and speak up if there is any observed misconduct. We uphold a zero-tolerance policy for retaliation and continually strive to do right by our stakeholders.

This PACS Code of Ethics applies to me, our Board of Directors, employees and financial representatives. Together as a team, we share the responsibility to adhere to and exemplify the principles outlined in the PACS Code of Ethics. This is our commitment to our business and in doing so, we help make Prudential a trusted insurer and the best place to work.

What Our Code of Ethics Stands For

Our Code of Ethics sets clear expectations on how we conduct business, treat one another, and uphold our responsibility to society.

It is anchored on three pillars:

  1. We Act with Integrity
We make decisions fairly and objectively, avoiding conflicts of interest and always putting the organisation and our customers first.
We protect confidential information, handle data responsibly and maintain high standards of professionalism—online, in person and in all business interactions.
  2. We Protect Our People, Workplace and Communities
We foster a workplace where everyone is treated with respect, dignity and care.
We embrace diversity, promote inclusion and ensure psychological safety so that people can speak up courageously without fear of retaliation.
Our responsibility extends to the customers we serve and to the communities whose lives we touch.
  3. We Uphold Fair and Responsible Business Practices
We operate with transparency, honesty and accountability.
We deliver fair dealing outcomes for customers, adhere to competition laws, prevent financial crimes such as fraud, bribery, corruption and money laundering, and ensure our practices align with regulatory expectations.

Ethics in Action

Our commitment to ethical standards informs our daily conduct, shapes our approach to collaboration, and directs the manner in which we serve others.

We commit to:

  • Putting Customers First
Designing products responsibly, providing sound advice and communicating clearly so customers can make informed decisions.
  • Being Courageous and Doing What’s Right
Speaking up when something seems wrong. Encouraging honest and respectful conversations while standing firm against any form of misconduct, discrimination, harassment or retaliation.
  • Collaborating and Succeeding Together
Building inclusive teams that value different perspectives and creating space for people to thrive.
  • Delivering on Our Commitments
Acting with care, diligence, and professionalism in every task and relationship.

The Way We Do Business

Our Responsibility to Customers

Doing right by our customers means that we keep their best interests at heart, treat them fairly, openly and honestly. It means providing and promoting products and services that meet their needs, maintain confidentiality of their information, and acting fairly to address customer complaints. We put the customer at the core of every decision we make and every action we take.

Our Responsibility to the Community

Doing right by our communities means that we support the communities where we operate. We work hand in hand with them to uplift their wellbeing, leaving a positive and lasting social impact. We invest in health and financial literacy programmes for vulnerable groups and encourage our employees and financial representatives to volunteer responsibly and ethically.

Our Responsibility to Suppliers and Business Partners

Doing right by our stakeholders means engaging them ethically, transparently and fairly. We assess partners responsibly, maintain prompt payment practices and uphold high standards of integrity in procurement and collaboration.

Our Commitment to Good Governance

Doing right with strong governance reinforces trust. We comply with laws and regulations, maintain open relationships with regulators, and continually strengthen our internal controls, policies and frameworks to support ethical conduct, data protection and responsible innovation.
